Shooting in the North

Very popular mixed shooting programmes are arranged from November to January for parties of 2 - 6 guns. Two to six day programmes normally include walked-up plus mini drives for pheasant, plentiful woodcock, partridge, snipe and countless rabbits, dawn flights for the hordes of grey geese, evening duck flights and hind stalking where clients may retain the carcasse. A typical four day programme might include 2 morning flights at geese, 2 evening flights at duck, 1 day woodcock walk-up, 1 day hind stalking, 1 day pheasant/partridge/woodcock mini drives, 1 day woodcock, snipe, pheasant walk up. Total cost £670 per gun.

We often base these parties in very high quality self-catering accommodation which includes an indoor swimming pool. A cook may be provided if required. See www.craiglealodge.com. A great mixed sporting break at a very affordable price.

Northlands Fishing

No other area of Scotland offers such superb wild trout fishing with a vast number and variety of lochs available at extremely low prices. Some of these produce good stocks of the finest quality red-fleshed wild browns to be found anywhere. There are 10 rivers which among them provide Spring salmon, Summer grilse and Autumn salmon plus exciting sea trout in the estuaries and saltwater. A mixed week of quality trout fishing with 2 days salmon would cost only £140 per rod. Truly a gamefisher's Paradise.

The sea angler is also very well provided for as the Pentland and Moray Firths provide the finest range of species and sport in the UK. A range of charter boat hire is available plus good beach and shore opportunities.

Accommodation

From classy sporting lodges to modest B&Bs there is a wide range of places to stay and John Andrews will be happy to tailor an exciting programme to suit the wishes of groups from 2 to 12 in number to enjoy the glorious solitude of this lovely land of pure air and wide horizons.
